The challenge to owning and buying vintage cast iron is be able to identify it. Many items have no makers name or trade marks to identify them. This section can help identify them.

Cast Iron pans can be damaged believe it or not. Common damage to cast iron is pitting, rust, broken handles and cracks. In many cases these pans can still be used to cook.
